Originating from New Hampshire, he boasts dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration, with a focus on Entrepreneurship, and Economics from the University of New Hampshire. Furthering his academic credentials, James acquired his law degree from the Florida State University College of Law. His certification as an NFL agent adds a distinctive edge to his professional portfolio, merging his legal expertise with sports management.

Joshua Battat is an associate attorney at Landry Legal, representing businesses, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals in commercial, intellectual property, and transactional matters. With a strong background in business law, Josh provides strategic counsel to help clients protect their intellectual property and navigate complex transactions. In addition to his commercial practice, Josh has a specialized focus on sports and entertainment law, including name, image, and likeness (NIL) representation, offering legal guidance to athletes and creatives as they build and protect their brands.

Before returning to Landry Legal, Josh worked at Shendell & Pollock, P.L., where he gained extensive experience in complex commercial litigation. A graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Sport Management, Josh earned his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he refined his skills in the Intellectual Property and the Arts Clinic. His diverse background allows him to provide comprehensive legal counsel, blending his knowledge of business law with expertise in the dynamic sports and entertainment sectors.
